Desti-Weddi, Cacio e Vino: Arrivederci for Now

^{My first destination wedding and it’s in Italy. We first started the trip lounging around Nice; with a side quest to Monaco and Eze. Then met up with some friends to explore Rome and the Vatican City. Took a train to Florence and ate some delicious foods before joining wedding crew. After a White Lotus experience, we attempted to stay cool in Pisa and Florence.}

The final leg of the trip took us back to Florence with a quick stop in Pisa. It’s the middle of June and the sun is blistering hot. I wish we could’ve checked in early at the Airbnb to take advantage of the aircon. We tried to cool off at a cafe called Ditta Artigianale Riva d’Arno. We had walked by this place a couple of times previously and thought it was a cute spot.

We took a train to Pisa and that was lowkey brutal. It was stuffy inside and there the aircon was NOT working. During the 1 hour train ride, one of our buddies was nearly getting a heat stroke, saying he was having cold sweats. To be honest if it wasn’t has hot as it was, I think we would’ve appreciated Pisa more. Instead we quickly strolled through Piazza dei Miracoli to take a pic of the leaning tower then head out to the coast of Pisa. The bus ride provided a nice refuge, and the beach was very busy. We had apertivos at L’ Arsellina and a heaping dinner of seafood at Ristorante Moby Dick.

Back in Florence, we hung out with the remainder of the wedding crew for before separating ways. We ate dinner at the restaurant atop Piazzale Michelangelo, I had the gnocci but to be honest wasn’t really the best, the views though made the upcharge worht it. It was really sick after dinner; a lightning storm in the distance and a pop up band performing for a crowd.

We pretty much had a zero day on our last full day. We bought pasalubongs from grocery stores and found this really delicious restaurant specializing in seafood walking distance from the airbnb. The restaurant is called Ciri Be had some of the best food we had during the trip. Wish we had more people to try the rest of the menu.
